Here is the first of the production solids filter I have been working on for some time. In earlier posts I described some of the filters we had trialled. They all did the job, but this configuration worked the best.
This filter is also very easy to manage for the home user, giving excellent solids collection and treatment.
This filter will be part of our Domestic Floating Raft system and a combo system that will have some traditional media grow beds and some floating raft troughs.
This will make available more possible combinations within any given system that one might like to develop for home use.
I am convinced that there is no better way to grow lettuce and the like,than Floating Raft.
The filter will be available on our website in a couple of variations that can be placed on top of one of our existing kits, or as a stand alone addition to an existing system.

There is a better way to filter the solid waste, I used the technique shown on the picture but got rid of it. The only problem I got is that I am using glass tank and so I have to siphon the waste out instead of draining it out, for that purpose I need a different tank. I am just getting into it and I do understand the principles, now I need to set it up. Only problem I got, I live in Colorado, US, and I guess there is no fish that might survive the winter here and also my neighbors would probably break my greens house if I would build one. I can send pictures if interested.
