    Dear Mr. Murray,

I take up aero cultivation in Hungary. I am rearing plants in cultivation halls which enery is produced by renewal energy sources.

I would like to breed fish as well and your system is the most professional.

I would appreciate it if you could give me some further information if you could deliver to Hungary.

    Yours sincerely,

    Zoltán Tóth,
    boss of Green Aero Kft.

  10. Riley says:

    Hey Murray
My system is 8 months old and doing well, my jade perch are between 200 & 300 gms
I have just ordered my second lot of fingerlings, should I salt bath them before they go into the main tank.

  11. Murray says:

    Hi Riley,
I like to do that, just in case they are bringing anything with them from the hatchery. I think it is a good practice. Those existing Jades are a good size. You will soon be able to eat the larger ones.

  12. Lucas Gaffney says:

    Dear Mr. Hallam,

Some close friends and I are in the process of creating an Aquponics Greenhouse around Chicago, Illinois. Your educational videos for sale & free youtube videos have become a regular source of reference and inspiration.

Reestablishing the local food supply is vital to the health & elevation of families world-wide. Aquaponics truly is changing the world. Thanks for all your efforts!

    Sincerely,

    Lucas

    Hi Jorge,
Good to hear from you. I wish you well in your Aquaponics adventure. There is lots of information within this blog membership area that will be very helpful to you.

  16. Dr. Rajan Naik says:

Can i set Aquaponics in Christchurch Newzealand

  17. Murray says:

    Hi Rajan,
Aquaponics can be done anywhere. Obviously you will need a greenhouse or similar and find a locally available fish species. Plants that are able to be grown in your local area.

  18. Mike Roberts says:

    Hi Murray,

I wish to start a eco lodge in Panama and I want all the food to be bio.
My plan is to have a man made lake which is naturally filtered by plants where people can swim (20+m*8m*2m). Water will be pumped up to another smaller swimming pool and there will be a water fall linking the two lakes.

I wish to raise trout and if possible fresh water prawns.

My question is: if trout can be raised in this lake? Or should I have tanks else where? My main fear is one of temperature. If the lake water could become too hot then the trout would die, so I am wondering if I would have to have fish tanks buried underground (temperature of 16C) or would the lake temperature be relatively constant.

I am in the tropics (35+C every day). I have read that the temperature of the water will be more or less constant as it is in contact with the earth which has a constant temperature of 16C. I am hoping that the shear volume of the water would be enough but I am not sure.

    Regards

    Mike

  19. Ajay Nair says:

    Dear Murray

I am from India and would be inclined to set up an Aquaponics project here. I would be keen to look at potentially 10 tonnes of Fresh Vegetables and about the same quantity of Talapia fish as well.
Do you believe that Aquaponics is advanced enough to handle commercial quantities, further is there someone who represents your interest in India, who we can consult with..cheers….Ajay

  20. Murray says:

    Hi Ajay,
That is a very big system you are visioning. Yes Aquaponics is capable of delivering the outcomes you are visioning. A lot of planning required. I am keen to be involved and, no, I do not have a representative in India just yet. I get a lot of inquires from your country.
    I hope this helps.

  21. Murray says:

    Hi Mike,
I would research your ground temp very carefully. I would be surprise if it was only 16 deg where you are. The consistent ground temp you speak of is at 2 m below ground and once again I doubt if 16 deg would be the temp where you are.
